LIGHTS

"Lights is a short film that follows the story of Charlie, played by Mike Mihm, as he grieves during the anniversary of his wife’s untimely death following an automobile accident on Christmas Eve. Charlie’s deep seated trauma and sorrow fuel his actions to end his own life after a quick welfare check phone call from his sister. Having drank all of his alcohol necessary to create his deadly apothecary mix, he seeks out  replacement booze to finish the job. As he makes his way down the sidewalk, he sees an innocent girl ready to be struck by an oncoming vehicle. In a selfless act, Charlie looks to sacrifice, which leads to a magical encounter reminiscent of A Christmas Carol or It’s a Wonderful Life."
